Quotes:

So many companies and software out there try to put data in front of their customers and put artificial intelligence in front of their customers, but if you don’t do it in the right way, it doesn’t mean anything…We’re trying to be really smart with how we capture data, but also how we give it back to our customers.” (5:31) - Matt Singer

Everybody likes what they like, right? I don’t want to force them to use something they don’t want to use. So we designed our software to be really friendly and to connect [with multiple platforms]. So [we’re] trying to create that connectivity and those partnerships as much as we can.” (10:00) - Matt Singer

Facility managers have to be able to adapt to [artificial intelligence] and ultimately support it. So [it’s important to be] on the forefront of AI and understanding how it can impact me and how I can build my entire strategy around incorporating artificial intelligence predictability, right?” (11:29) - Matt Singer

I think platforms like Ecotrak really are the future of FM, and facility managers and their jobs are really going to drastically change over the next five years.” (15:35) - Shawn Black

Thriving in an Ever-Changing Industry

How long have you been in the facilities industry? If your answer is anything more than a few years, you know that our industry is changing rapidly. Our industry is pushing to keep up with the massive technological advancements we’ve seen over the past decade. While some FMs are set in their ways and would prefer not to embrace new technologies, many see these technological trends as solutions to problems we all face daily.

Ecotrak recognizes that not all FMs are interested in learning and adapting to new technologies, so it made sure its software can integrate with as many existing platforms and software as possible.

Even though some FMs are resistant to change, Ecotrak understands that technological solutions are the key to creating a more efficient and enjoyable future. It seems one of these solutions comes in the form of artificial intelligence. With Ecotrak’s asset-first approach, the brand plans to utilize AI to track better and predict repair needs.

Because our world is constantly evolving and moving forward, our industry must embrace new technologies as they are released. When businesses integrate new technology, FMs must be able to adapt, understand, and support said technology, regardless of their personal views on the advancement. Whether or not the rest of the world realizes it or not, our industry is at the forefront of technological progress, and it’s up to us to keep up.
